Since 1 January 2020, the transposition into national law of the Directive EU/2018/1910 has led to a strengthening of the conditions for exemption of VAT for intra-Community supplies of goods.

From now on, suppliers subject to VAT within the European Union and carrying out intra-Community deliveries are obliged, on the one hand, to submit compliant Intrastat returns and, on the other hand, to ensure the validity of the customer's VAT number.

This obligation can be time-consuming for businesses when there are a large number of VAT numbers to verify. 

Thus, the firm has developed, in close collaboration with a computer engineer, a software that enables the validity of thousands of VAT numbers to be checked in a few seconds.
